Here is a short video of the journey
To make the most of my Garden Leave (starting my new job 3rd October) I have had 3 wonderful weeks with Tracy and the kids in Calella (near Barcelona). On 30th August the family returned to London, I remained to walk a 320km portion of the French Camino de Santiago. Thank you Tracy for being supportive of my adventure and looking after 3 delightful and sometimes chaotic children. Hopefully I will be back home on 18th of September. It was a lovely send off - especially Charlie’s thoughtful and pragmatic last comment of him hoping to see me again.
The journey to Leon was about 10 hours in total - some drama - but got here in the end - on arrival I went to a Alberue in Leon to get my Camino passport (which my Irish friends will be pleased/appalled by) clearly states my nationality as Irish😂. The passport is to be stamped along the Camino (path) to Santiago - at the end of the path, I will hand this in at the cathedral Santiago de compostela and receive a confirmation document (written in Latin) confirming the completion of the Camino.

Any blisters yet?
A bit surprised and disappointed about your performance with the flan eating competition… keep practicing. :-)) Looks wonderful and thanks for sharing! May your feet and legs be pain free in the days ahead. Happy trekking!
Amazing adventure will be with you in spirit ✨️
Did Charlie set up Wix for you?
Right on brother. Along for the duration.
