23:10 - got my washing done! Went down into the town square and bumped into lots of Camino friends I hadn't seen for a few days - you never know if you will see people again - so it's lovely to bump into one another again - it was lovely Debra again especially as we started the Camino together / she is great - but fast than I amšŸ˜‚

Not sure where I am heading tomorrow - probably around the 24km/15mile range as this seems to be reasonable to my body at the end of the day. Off to pack up ready for tomorrow. Night night / photos from tonight below.

19:30 - todays walk was really enjoyable - up and down over small hills (to be clear - it was sweaty and puffed out at points). Lots more hamlets this side of Sarria / which meant a host of cafes and bars to eat at - I took 2 breaks to do so and met up with Camino friends each time - I am especially fond of the almost retired nurses from Philadelphia - they are life king friends and are a really good laugh (Rosie, Carole and Mindy). It was 24km to the hill top town Portomino - you have to cross a tall bridge over a wide river to get to the town - which is beautiful and starts it's summer fiesta today it seems, I found the hotel after some confussiin - I am showered, clothes are in the wash. Everyone that knows I am English has come and hugged me today in sympathy for the Queen. Please see below a selection of pictures from this afternoon,

13:50 - nice lunch at this place - 3hrs more to go.

12:52 - getting lunch at this place - 11km in to the day. Very warm today. Lots more people I. The trail - many people start from Sarria, here are a few pics from this morning.

09:42 - I have walked over z200km and have 117km to go!

God save the King. Prayers for the Queen - the news really knocked the wind out of my sails yesterday.

0910 - got my first stamp of the day from a cafe for breakfast. I am going to walk to pirtomafino today - about 20km - through a lot of towns today. I need to get another Camino passport - this last 120km requires pilgrims to get 2 pass stamps a day - I have 7 spaces left.

My feet are sore - got quite a few new blisters yesterday - I have covered my feet in vasceline and blister tape - but fully expect to have to do all again later.

had a good nights sleep and looking forward to getting out of Sarria - i definitely prefer the countryside and villages.
