23:30 - completed nearly 27km today - the last 14km was horrible to my feet. I had findescent about 600 meters (twice the height of London’s Shard building). With each step my toes wee jammed up against the front of my show - by the time I came into the village I was in lot of pain with each pigeon step. It took nearly 2 hours to do the last 6km.

I was quite down in dumps - but the Camino fanlly and of course my own cheered me up and after some food and wine, I am in good spirits.

Tomorrow I am heading to Sarria - about 20km away - it’s appears to be a relatively flat walk - one thing for sure - the big climbs and descents are done.

The weather today was inclement as we say in the UK - it rained a lot so the views of the mountains and valleys were obscured - but when possible I took some photos - it’s such beautiful walk - I can’t believe I have walked nearly 200km - but feet do.

12:25 - nearly 12km done. It’s been a steep climb - but I was motivated by the Restaurant at the top of the path.

Lots of nice views along the way since my last post.

10:50 - climb up to San Roque - nice views and a bronze statue of a pilgrim - obviously a photo opportunity. It’s misty, wet and cold - but all good.

09:50 - the hike up wasn’t bad at all / clearly I did the hard slog yesterday. The weather has turned - It’s cold and damp and drizzle rain.

Stopped for a coffee at linares - the kind lady gave me a big muffin for free.

Pictures of note this morning:

7;54am - had a good night sleep (only woke up twice). It’s still dark outside, very cold and low clouds over the mountain. I have a short 2 hour ascent (a hard one). So breakfast is a must - today we have Strawberry and Peach Jam!! With coffee and juice - €4.50.
