21:09 - on the plus side of doing 29km I am over 2 thirds of the highest incline of the journey - so tomorrow morning I have just an hour of hard climb before a slow 20km descent.

La Laguna is lovely - it’s just a hostel in the side of a mountain - just a few Pilgrims here / I am so glad I stayed here - the people are lovely and it’s rural farmer community- the cows coming in was a treat / the bullock was brought in separately - big boy like me😂

I met up with Bill and Lesley from Boston, Jens from Denmark and Ken from San Diego - went on to have a dinner with a Canadian chap and met the local famers as they brought the cows in for the night: I had a shot (slowly consumed) of some local Galician spirit compliments of the barman with Cate and Anto from Turin, Italy.

Heading to Triacastella tomorrow morning - around 20km distance.

I am off to bed.

17:46 - I didn’t mess up - I was at the right place - so messed up by doing another 4km - I am staying at La Laguna - it had a hostel and that’s it. Really cold up here.

14:09 - messed up!!

13:30 - made it to la Faba - the 400m hill climb at the last section to get here was brutal - sweated buckets - but I made it. 23km on the map - Strava says 25.5km.

11:04 - having another coffee - 17km under my belt. It’s mainly been walking by the old road today. They have built a highway through the mountains, the Camino follows the old road which takes you through a number of villages that you would normally see from above as you travel a long a bridge.

Got my first blisters - on my left foot - not to painful and I have just been to the pharmacy for more plasters - going through them and Vaseline like no tomorrow.

7am start. Now coffee,
