22:10 - had a lovely dinner with a lenans new Camino friends - bought a bed sheet for my cube - otherwise I would be on a rubber sheet. Also bought a rainproof rucksack cover - as the weather is going to turn on Monday and heavy rain is forecast until Wednesday. Big hike tomorrow 28-30km.
19:48 - found my Aubergue - I have a pod which I just about fit in It seemed a very long walk today / but broken up with 3 stops. Here are some pictures since the last update: about 70km to go - I plan to do this over 3 days - so arriving in Santiago on 13th September.
14:40 - stopped again for a beer - it's 30c today so need to top up the liquid👍🥰. Feet are really hurting now - I can't wait to take these shoes off and wear sandles.
12:49 - stopped for a lunch - it is bloody warm today - sweat is dripping off my nose - quite a lot of altitude gained - nearly 13km done so far - another 12km to go until Palas De Rei (about 3 hours walk ahead). I have booked a auberge with cubes - I quite like these type of beds - but a double bed is deffo my favourite.
Other pictures from this mornings walk are below:
08:03 - I had a good night sleep - up at 7am, packed and out the door - Alas it seems the people of Pontomarine like a late start - can't find a cafe open for morning coffee or food.
I deffo need a coffee😂😀
08:17 - all good.
11:42 - just met lovely V from the Us and Miriam from Vigo - in the airline industry Am- delta and Ryanair's.
